depths of deaththe air around a still unmoving body thickened even more as the dripping from the rain i hear from the depths of this dark tunnel. my grip tightens on my sword as i raise when the sound of footsteps begins. my heart quickens and i will it to slow for fear the creature inside would feel my fear. i try to scream but stop noting that who would hear? who would care? i bite my lip hard enough to draw blood. the creature steps into the light, blood stains it's silver scales, it's teeth gleam white with red about the tips. my blood freezes and boils at the same time i nearly collapse from the stress of the sight of the hidious beast but i know i musdepths of death
